They ask way too much personal information for a company I've never heard of before...

I guess they figured that if they don't make enough from the auction, they can use my mother's maiden name for other purposes. :D

Yeah, cus' Crapenstein is such a cool name... :o

Ooh...you set yourself up again... :applause:

You bad boy, you! :baiting:

I wonder if they've ported over some of the early eBay bids?

On an antique radio board I'm a member at, we've had discussions on certain eBay sellers who promote their wares on Craigs List, and refer to their eBay auction in the CL blurb.

These characters are doing similar, using eBay to promote their own private auction, complete with a buyer's premium akin to what Heritage Auctions charges.

I don't see how eBay could derive a final value fee from these, and wonder if a whistle blown to eBay might get the auction advertising halted?

I'm not there, what about you G.A.tor? I did pick up 4 books, though. Annoyed that I didn't go a little more on 3 more. I was watching live and that Detective #168 easily had the most bids; just kept going bid after bid...and the price! o0

whoops, that's what I get for pausing while typing.

I'm within driving distance but too lazy to drive over. Did win several books on which I'll have to pay the full BP.
