Justice League Cast Members Have A Special Message

In a recent video, the cast of Justice League teamed up to raise awareness for a charity called Rezpect Our Water that’s fighting to preserve Native American land.

Though brief, the video is already doing a lot to bring awareness to the problems local communities are having with the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline. The highly controversial build is set to place a massive oil pipeline less than a mile away from the Missouri River and the Standing Rock Reservation. Traveling across four states, the pipeline would transport over 570,000 barrels of crude oil per day, putting local communities at risk for spillages and latent ground contamination.

And, what’s more, the pipeline will require sacred Native American lands to be upturned during construction. Locals have already clashed with authorities and the private oil companies who are backing the project as they plead for their lands to be left untouched. A petition has even appeared on Change.org for Rezpect Our Water that’s been signed over 254,000 times.

JK Simmons Has Finished Filming With Justice League, Praises Zack Snyder

JK Simmons, who plays Commissioner Gordon in the film, has wrapped up his work on the film. Having been around the block a time or two, Simmons has worked with quite a few directors. With that kind of resume, it's rare for an actor of his stature to praise a director.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, JK had nothing but wonderful things to say about the Batman V Superman director.

"Yeah, mostly with Ben. In this first installment of the Justice League, Commissioner Gordon is not a particularly sizable part. We just kind of introduce him and see a little bit of his interactions with Batman -- and with most of the Justice League. That was a really fun set. Zack [snyder] runs sort of a big, happy family and it's obviously, in many ways, a very different work environment when you're working on a big, giant movie like that than a relatively small movie like The Meddler. But at the end of the day, the director is the one who sets the tone. And one of the things that Zack and Lorene have in common is they're just nice, smart, competent, fun people that you don't mind spending a 12-hour day with."

Geoff Johns And Jon Berg On Reworking JUSTICE LEAGUE And The New Optimistic Tone Of The DC Films Universe

"Mistakenly in the past I think the studio has said, ‘Oh, DC films are gritty and dark and that’s what makes them different.’ That couldn’t be more wrong," Johns explained. "It’s a hopeful and optimistic view of life. Even Batman has a glimmer of that in him. If he didn’t think he’d make tomorrow better, he’d stop." Talking of Batman, the site adds that Justice League will address the Dark Knight's actions in Batman v Superman both in regards to him torturing criminals and trying to kill the Man of Steel.

"To have these characters be part of the fabric of pop culture is so rewarding, though of course we’re disappointed the movies weren’t better reviewed," Berg added when asked about the critical reaction to the first few movies set in the DC Films Universe. As for how that will be carried over to Justice League next year, the site confirms that the duo worked with writer Chris Terrio to change the tone of the movie. "We accelerated the story to get to the hope and optimism a little faster."

That's not the only major change though as it's mentioned that plans for Justice League to start a story whic would have carried on over into a sequel in 2019 have also been abandoned. "We’re trying to take a really hard look at everything to make sure we stay true to the characters and tell stories that celebrate them." It should be interesting to see how this all plays out, don't you guys think?

Justice League: First Look at Batman's Tactical Batsuit

Yp3Yne3.png

Director Zack Snyder has revealed a new look at Batman's tactical Batsuit, the first time we've seen it on Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne.

The image, which we've also brightened up in the gallery below for a better look, shows Affleck in the new suit, standing next to a Batmobile that is being showered in sparks. It looks like he's in a facility - (maybe just the Batcave?) that has a lever he's pulling with the Waynetech logo on it. The Batmobile has several small missiles armed and primed on the side of it, so while this Batman might pull back a little from his murdery ways in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it looks like he'll still use brute force when he needs to.

The costume itself is a slightly more armored version of the base suit, without being the full "Dark Knight" armor. The comparisons between this and the Night Owl costume from Zack Snyder's Watchmen, thanks to his darkened goggles and shortened ears, are inevitable.

Zack Snyder Celebrates #BatmanDay With A First Look At J.K. Simmons As Commissioner Gordon

Over the past few months, director Zack Snyder has developed a strong penchant for sharing pretty awesome behind-the-scenes photos of his Justice League cast and now, just a few short days after sharing a photo of Ben Affleck in his new Batsuit, we have our first look at Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons as one of Bruce Wayne's greatest allies - Commissioner James Gordon.

Amy Adams on filming ‘Justice League’: “There’s a lot of imagination required”

DP/30 caught up with Amy Adams at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this month and posted a great video interview this week. Justice League was brought up towards the end, and Adams spoke about that experience and playing Lois Lane for the third time.

“It’s different now coming back to Lois for the third time, and in each film her requirements (are) so different,” Adams explained. “That’s been the challenge. Playing the same character with different requirements for the story.”

Justice League's Jason Momoa Posts Photo Celebrating Wrap Party

Zack Snyder's upcoming Justice League managed to appease some fears when the studio released new footage at San Diego Comic-Con, and it appears that the first phase of production is now complete.

As all actors know, once that part is done, it's time to celebrate with a wrap party, and Aquaman actor posted a new photo on Instagram commemorating the event.

Now the film enters the all important post-production phase, and hopefully the film fares better here than it's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice predecessor did. The good news is this is also where the film gets it's special effects added in, and Synder films always bring with them stellar visuals.
