It Appears As If Henry Cavill Is Teasing Superman's Iconic Black Costume In JUSTICE LEAGUE

We've known that Henry Cavill's Man of Steel would return from the dead since the closing few seconds of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but speculation has been running rampant ever since then about what he'll look like when he does. The first official Justice League group shot showed the hero not looking any different than normal, but many fans want to see Cavill in that black costume.

Well, in a new Instagram post from the actor, he appears to be teasing a new look for Superman in Zack Snyder's highly anticipated superhero ensemble.

Ben Affleck Reveals Deathstroke From Justice League Set?

Ben Affleck, star and executive producer of the upcoming Justice League film, took to Twitter today to all but break the Internet with one of the DC Universe's biggest cinematic reveals: Deathstroke will be joining the film.

Justice League is currently deep into production, likely wrapping in just a few weeks, which means the footage is most likely from the November 2017 film.

Rumors are saying it's either Joe Mangiello or Stephen Lang playing Deathstroke. People are leaning towards Mangiello since he grew out a goatee, flew to London, and just started following Snyder on Twitter.

That's who I would like it to be. When you have 6'5" Joe Mangiello matched up against 6'4" Ben Affleck, it will make for some very interesting fight scenes.

I do think Stephen lang is awesome and an amazing actor but it would be hard to believe that he match batman. has for Joe Mangiello i think his perfect and be used for many years to come has Slade.

Deathstroke Teaser Filmed On JUSTICE LEAGUE's Flying Fox

oGhVHL7.jpg

Remember that behind-the-scenes Justice League set photo featuring Zack Snyder and Jason Momoa that was released all the way back in February? There were a few instantly recognizable costumes on display such as The Flash, Batman and Aquaman but fans were going crazy trying to figure out who owned the black, nondescript costume glimpsed just above Zack Snyder's right shoulder. Did it belong to Nightwing? Black Manta? Green Lantern? Well, it appears that armor first seen 6 months ago was our first glimpse of Deathstroke. It's unlikely that Ben Affleck and Zack Snyder would be looking ahead to the solo Batman film at such an early stage with so much riding on Justice League. They wouldn't be working out the aesthetics of Deathstroke so early unless the lethal mercenary was also appearing in Justice League.

Add that to the fact that ScreenRant, who toured the Justice League set back in June, has confirmed that the teaser footage was shot aboard The Flying Fox (Justice League's aerial base of operations as detailed in the June set visit reports) - you can just make out the new Batmobile over Deathstroke's shoulder.

Could we see this soon?

MOVIE PILOT: How The DCEU's Deathstroke Needs To Differ From The 'Arrow' Version

As Arrow was successful at rewriting Slade's history, the DCEU now has a choice: Either change it again or stick to the original comic book origin. In the comics, Slade enlists for the U.S. Army, rises through the ranks and eventually ends up getting imbued with enhanced abilities, becoming a super soldier. He was hired as an assassin, however his son would be kidnapped and caught in the crossfire, rendering him mute. As a result, his wife tried to kill him but ended up shooting him in the eye. And that was the moment that Deathstroke was born.

The comic book origin is certainly as compelling as the Arrow version, and thus would make a great live-action origin story for the character.

In the comics, Deathstroke may gain his enhanced abilities from testing by the government but in Arrow, he gained them from a formula used to develop super soldiers called "Mirakuru." The drug was used on Slade to save his life and it ended up doing so, giving him enhanced abilities, super strength and making him an even more efficient assassin. But it also drove him insane, as he attempted to amass his own army of Mirakuru soldiers.

In contrast, it's unlikely that anybody in the DCEU is going to be shocked by the existence of super soldiers, having already seen Kryptonian beasts and men of steel. Thus, it will make a nice change to see a world where Slade's superpowers aren't shocking like in Arrow, but one where they will be equally as effective.

Jason Inman of DC All Access took part in a YouTube video answering a fan's question whether or not Green Lantern will be in the Justice League movie. While what they discussed regarding Green Lantern first appearing in the DCEU is pure speculation, Inman did whisper to the camera, "It's going to be Hal Jordan."

i do think green lantern would show up but i hope is more like early in the movie we get to see a history of all 3 mother boxes. when we get all 3 races joining together to fight back Darkside and within their ranks is an alien green lantern who protects Sector 2814.
