tomo Posted February 22, 2017 Author Share Posted February 22, 2017 Here's an interesting one. Not exactly Silver Age, but he gets grandfathered in with his first appearance. Metallo. First appearance in Action Comics #252 (over-shadowed by Supergirl, naturally) in May of 1959. Second appearance in Superman #310 in April of 1977...18 years later! Two thoughts popped up as a result... 1) What other characters out there have a decades long wait for their second appearance. Groot was the only one to come to mind so far. 2) There were so many (so, so many) one-off villains with a shtick back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
