They put it up for $2500, it moved quick. I've seen other colored pencil/black paper for sale some going for $1800, but this one is pinnacle Dell'Otto as far as I'm concerned

For a published cover?  Hell yes $2500 is a good deal. Foreign published covers go for twice that, on the rare occasion anything by him published comes up for sale publicly on the secondary market.  

I paid that much for my ASM 1 (2018) by him a few years ago from a private party.

I'm totally not a modern collector, but I really enjoyed the Netflix shows (canon or not) so I picked up a lot of books (at least loosely) based on the shows or vice versa.

I thought the Disney covers looked awesome.

I generally like Dell'Otto's work, but a lot of his more recent Spidey stuff especially has a kind of "sameness" to it that just isn't doing it for me. And this new one, I don't know - all I can see is a grumpy cat or something who got caught in the rain and is looking at you like, "hey, stop taking pictures and dry me off!"

His black paper art has been selling well for various shops as exclusive covers.  

Most likely why he keep churning it out.

Can't say I mind, he really is a master at negative space and lighting.

 boardie was kind enough to show the cert look up, smart @Otter1775  . (but and yet) It is possible the seller thought, well this is CGC's 8.0 and your either going to want it or not

So this listing book looks super clean so hopefully it's not one of these high end fakes that one of our boardies dealt with a few years back. 

The price is crazy ..especially for a raw copy.
