I use a piece of foam I cut. Works perfectly.

I use my extra copies of Bat 408 and Deadworld 1 and fold them in half and use them as spacers.

I just put the box vertical until it's filled enough to go horizontal. I'm cheap.

The best spacers I've ever seen were the carboard boxes that Heroclix prizes came in. They were about 9"x6" and 4" thick. We used them the same way for years. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where they got the idea.

I use OSPGs to fill up my box since I have several years of those I don't really need to look at anymore but don't want to throw it away

I use hydraulic scissors to take up the space and provide support.

 

They work nice...but are a little expensive and add about 100 lbs per box.

 

Definitely only for the serious collector.
