Ryan Reynolds is a joker but make no mistake about it, he's a great guy. That's evident from some photos he recently shared from the set of Deadpool 2 (The Untitled Deadpool Sequel?) revealing that the production recently welcomed kids associated with Make-A-Wish America and Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. They got to hang out with the Merc with the Mouth and take some photos.

The actor took to Facebook to share details on that and had this to say about the way it played out:

"One of the best parts of playing the Big Red person_too_unaware_of_social_graces is welcoming Make-A-Wish America and Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada onto set. Deadpool kicked Cancer in the taint, but these kids do it for real every day. These foundations make dreams come true for a lot of of super-brave kids. They also make dreams come true for parents, who just wanna see their kid smile. HUGE thanks to our Prop Master, Dan Sissons, for making sure every kid left with his/her own sword. (Bamboo versions. Not stabby-stabby versions.)"

Josh Brolin Confirms 'Deadpool 2' Reshoots

Quote

Deadpool 2 stars Josh Brolin has confirmed that the film’s cast and crew are indeed reconvening for reshoots in Vancouver.

Josh Brolin spoke to Entertainment Weekly primarily about his other Marvel role, playing Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Given the self-referential, fourth-wall breaking nature of Deadpool’s humor, Brolin was asked if any Thanos jokes slipped into Deadpool 2.

“I can’t imagine there’s not going to be any,” Brolin said, laughing. “I’ll put it that way. I’m up here right now in snowy Vancouver doing reshoots for Deadpool. Given that it’s a satire of all superhero movies, especially Marvel movies, how can you not?”

Brolin’s not wrong. In fact, a couple of Thanos jokes worked their way into the Deadpool 2 trailer. Those were part of the trailer’s frame story though, so fans will have to wait and see what jokes are embedded in the film itself.

As for the reshoots, fans probably shouldn’t think too much of it. While some reshoots can be transformative for a film – the reshoots for Justice League were notably shot by a different director than the rest of the film, and the reshoots for The New Mutants will add an additional character to the film – they tend to be pretty routine for most movies, especially big-budget superhero movies where so much of the film comes together in the editing bay during post-production. Marvel Studios is known to simply work reshoots into the production schedule of all of their films.

Now the details become clear where the rumor of bad screenings started. And the reshoots Brolin mentioned during an interview took place before the screenings based on his set description.

DEADPOOL 2 Is Reportedly Testing Just Fine But There May Be Something In The Sequel Which Upsets Fans

Quote

Earlier today, we heard that the first test screenings for Deadpool 2 had been something of a disaster and that significant reshoots were set to take place as a result. Well, it's now been made clear that the information was inaccurate and the source was far from reliable, while a number of other reporters and outlets have also weighed in to clear things up. As a result, fans can seemingly stop worrying!

Well, mostly. According to Marvel Studios News, they've heard multiple accounts from people who have attended a Deadpool 2 test screening who loved what they saw, while Collider E-i-C Steve Weintraub points out that the scores from these screenings are high and each managed to do over 90.

Marvel Studios News, meanwhile, notes that the only explanation they can come up with for why some fans in attendance have slated Deadpool 2 is because they've heard about something in the movie which "sounded rather brilliant" but "may bother some fans." They don't divulge more details because it would be considered a big spoiler but it's similar to Iron Man 3's Mandarin twist in terms of how controversial it could end up being (it's said that it doesn't actually relate to someone's identity).

So, those reports were clearly premature but this possible twist is sure to worry some fans.
