the blob
We read the bejeezuz out of these when we were kids. None of them were better than 2.0s by the time we were done with them. OtherEric, HighVoltage and WernerVonDoom

Popular Post HighVoltage
A few more copies I picked up from Hauser... This is one of my favorite Neal adams covers. He was fully st the height of his drawing powers here. The crosshatching is insane! This was listed as NM- but it has some light splitting along the spine, breaking the outer cover a bit. Probably more like a VF- I still love this book though. wormboy, greggy, namisgr and 4 others 6
Popular Post HighVoltage
Another sweet cover, but this one by Aparo. I've always like the purple on this one. It was listed as a VF/NM. It's probably right about there. greggy, WernerVonDoom, OtherEric and 4 others 6
Popular Post HighVoltage
Another book I always wanted as a kid but could never find. Sweet Garcia Lopez cover. Cool WW2 concept/meeting. Baron Blitzkrieg, Sumo, Einstein, FDR, and an atomic explosion. Whatta book! Hauser listed it as a VF/NM & it's in the ballpark. batmiesta, OtherEric, namisgr and 3 others 5
Popular Post HighVoltage
Ali vs Supes! Ridiculous amount of pop culture figures on the cover. Love this Adams book. Listed as NM- and it might make that if the spine was pressed. Pretty nice copy otherwise. Popular Post HighVoltage
Kirby through & through. Wow. Kirby in oversized format?! Double wow! This copy has exceptional gloss. Listed as a NM- Maybe with a press, but really nice without any help. Love the colors jumping out on this cover. wormboy, greggy, batmiesta and 3 others 5
Popular Post HighVoltage
A few more Hauser copies... This copy has outstanding color and gloss. Pretty sharp overall, but a tiny nick on the bottom edge. It was listed as NM. It's right there. I love looking at Kirby's artwork in the oversized format. Popular Post HighVoltage
I always liked the Sinister Six. Spider-Man Annual #1 is one of my favorite Ditko Spidey stories. Having it reprinted here in the oversized format is crazy cool. The incredible full-page splashes that Ditko drew of Spidey fighting each villain presented in oversized format is mind-blowing. I wonder what those pages would bring if the original art ever showed up?! This copy has nice white pages. It was listed as a NM- and I'd say it's all of that, maybe NM. greggy, WernerVonDoom, batmiesta and 2 others 4

Popular Post HighVoltage
Another Treasury that I never saw as a kid. For whatever reason, MOKF and Iron Fist and the Kung Fu magazines were never available in my area. Not even beat-up used copies. So - I got into these characters a little later on as a collector. One of my best friends is a huuuuge martial arts fan, so he has all of this stuff. But I think my Treasury might be better than his. I should offer to trade him... At any rate, this one was listed as NM, but it has a few too many spine bends for that. More like a VF/NM. I love the red on this book. Same with the Spidey Treasury #1. greggy, batmiesta, wormboy and 3 others 5
Popular Post HighVoltage
Holiday Grab-Bag?!? Sign me up! The only holiday related story in here is the reprint of MTU #1. But you've still gotta love seeing the Hulk beat the out of the FF and Avengers Kirby style (FF 25 & 26). In going through these, I didn't realize how many of them have the front / back cover art tied together. Pretty unique to this one Marvel format, I believe. This one was listed as VF/NM, but it's probably closer to a VF. Great color & gloss on this copy. wormboy, namisgr, OtherEric and 4 others 6
FlyingDonut
I have an absolute ton of treasuries, all in super high grade. I have them all because I have no idea how to ship them - for those of you who collect these things, how are they shipped to you?

It's been awhile since I've sent or received a Treasury through the mail. Do these fit in the USPS Priority mail boxes? I don't have any boxes handy. I think the last time I sent a small stack of Treasuries via mail, I had a random, oversized cardboard box that I used. I put a Treasury-sized backing board in the back and front of each book, then cut cardboard slightly oversized and sandwiched the cardboard on each side of each book & taped them all in a stack/brick. Newspaper or bubble filler on any edges. These things are so heavy - I'm sure it costs an arm & a leg to ship them now.
WernerVonDoom
Every treasury I've received was in a home-made box. And surprisingly, none were damaged in the mail.

I have quite a few of the ones you showed, but in very loved and well-read condition. They certainly present better in your grades though. I regret not picking up more in the 80's or 90's when I'm sure NOS copies were quite cheap. Do you have to pay up for copies like this? I only ask because I was shocked to come to these boards once upon a time and find that collecting high-grade Marvel picture frames was even a thing!! Whether a backing board is available or not, then tape the bagged Treasury to a cardboard panel cut to have at least a half-inch buffer between each of the edges of the Treasury and the cardboard. Then bubble wrap or newspaper as packing material so no room to shift inside a 1095 USPS Priority Mail box. One Treasury packed this way will typically weigh 1 lb 4 oz, so yeah, the postage cost is severe. But the next USPS Priority postage price tier is above 2 lbs, so there is some headroom to pack multiple Treasuries in the same box if the opportunity arises.
