Those out of BC vendors just run around and buy as much SA Marvel, DC or nice bronze keys, semi-keys as they can, as the market in TO or Montreal must be more robust than Vancouver/Victoria. My buddy received 5 text messages to bring a short box of SA, BA keys down to the show to sell (at a discount to Overstreet let alone Eastcoast market values) :wishluck: to those aggressive buying vendors from Montreal.

That's the problem as most of the dealers are awash with the exact same BA and CA semi-keys and near keys. zzz

No surprise that they are offering less than guide for these types of common books, and yet turn around and try to sell them raw at what amounts to full slabbed prices. :P

No, that is how those guys always operate. They start low and then you either work them up to a price you can accept, or if it is a hot book just hold firm and they will usually buy it as the prices they get down East are much higher than out here. For example, we had one of the snag a small stack of ASM #361s for $60 (9.0) - $80 (9.2) from us in Calgary that he was stickering at $150.

Heard from a retailer that FEV's Sunday attendance was weak compared to last Easter, 2015 when it was full. Perhaps attendance more spread out now, as I found Friday attendance strong for the Expo.

Recommend that FEV send flyers or brochures out to all the Seattle or Bellingham, WA, USA comic hobby shops a month before the FEV, as they are closer to Vancouver in terms of transportation time than Victoria, BC. :gossip:

Re the Montreal vendors: Killing Joke 1st prints priced at $150 and sold  at Calgary Expo April, 2016.

And late on Saturday they came and cleaned out all of our raw 9.2/9.4 copies at $80 - $100 apiece. lol

Thanks for the retailer perspective.

Sunday started out slow, then the Tom Felton Q&A let out and the room was busy in the comics guest section from about 1pm and remained so until 4pm when things started wrapping up. Not as busy as Saturday but who expects Sunday to be as busy as Saturday?
