Just got this bad boy from Rick ….. it's actually nicer than this picture, as it was later pressed. It's one of my favorite Planet covers.... years ago, it was known in certain circles as the "giant sex toy " cover. My favorite thing about this book is that it was my first exposure to the work of Enrico Bagnpli, a previously unnamed Fiction House artist whose work was very much in the Foster/ Raymond tradition.... sometimes misattributed to Frazetta. If you have a minute, you should google him, he was still doing European comics up until his passing in 2012 at age 87. He worked on the Futura strip for a brief stint, among other things, and also worked for St. John at one point. GOD BLESS....

Just picked up a nice mid grade PC #21. Didn’t realize just how rare some of these can be, but the art is awesome!

That copy sold for $1,445.

2 days later, a CGC 5.0 copy sold at auction on eBay for $1,370.

Congrats!  Nice pick up.  You can’t go wrong with a Zolnerowich rivet cover!

Interesting! Yeah I saw the 5.0 on eBay, but just figured the 6.0 would have hammered in around $2K. Based off the eBay sale seems like the 6.0 was a solid buy!

Such a cool issue, Hunt Bowman (origin) and The Lost World begins but CGC doesn’t indicate such on their label (unfortunately).
