Several years ago, Harley had the Cosmic Aeroplane copy of PL 12 raw and I got excited upon first seeing it. However upon handling the book, I saw that the spine was badly splitting.

I still might have bought the book, but the 12 cover is not one of my favorites so I passed. Oops.

I handed Jon the book and the rest is history...

This book needs no introduction. The scan speaks for itself. I will say that I think 14 is more tough/rare/difficult than the notoriously elusive 15 IMO, even more so in grade.

Knowing the history and provenance of this book adds to the charm of my Planet 6.

Surely #18 has the cover that displays the most extreme variations from copy to copy in the entire title? That's what's crazy!

This is the most under-rated rivet cover in my opinion.  I have always loved everything about it.  However, the colors often leave something to be desired.  But not on Flex's copy!

My copy for comparison.  Not nearly as bright!  18 definitely has some of the most cover color variation (I would suggest #54 as a contender as well).
