I own the Rockford 36, issue 36 is one of those issues that is nearly impossible to find nicely centered. Usually text is cut off or the Title is crooked. My copy comes with great colors and the title is well centered.

My 36, a bit rough but it is ok.

Many comics flipped over the decades, many fondly remembered but few truly missed. Ten years ago, almost to the day, I won Planet Comics #32, #35 and #36 in the same Heritage Auction. At that time, I had fingers in many pies [i.e. titles], and a few years later, I decided to keep the #32, but let go of the #35 and #36. I'm sure at the time, I thought other copies would come available with similar colors, because I had seen other copies over the years that were similar. Sadly, the notion that higher grade copies with these colors would fall my way someday has proven to be a fantasy. Truly missed, now that Planets are virtually my sole collecting interest - something I could not have imagined back then!

Nice copy but I'm impressed with the reds on some of the ones from Flex.

#37 and #38 were my first Planets, circa 1995. Upgraded #37 several times since. Nearly sold this on a couple of years ago - thankfully, I changed my mind.

I will be interested to see if anyone has significantly deeper reds - it's one of those relatively few where I don't think deep reds were ever part of the original design, simply because I've not seen one. But you never know...

...and incidentally, the art in Planets at that time was unequalled IMHO!

37 is not my favorite either so I never felt like finding a nicer copy.  I think it is that the monster seems too cartoony and the background is pretty blah. I guess they can't all be winners...  but agree the interiors are still amazing.

My least favorite cover is the one with the muscular amazon holding the bound guy and swinging on the rope. 46? 47? I cant remember the issue number as I type this.
