Yeah, cool book. I always thought that looked like Frankenstein.

I always thought it looked like Rondo Hatton.

Ajax/Farrell is one of my favorite pre-code publishers. I probably should post some. Here's a cool one. Has a twisted nazi concentration camp story.

That's a beautiful copy. I always really liked the Voodoo title. Very tough in grade and that looks like a beauty.

Beauty Horrific #7 -- love the Bethlehem pedigree. :)

Sometimes prices on PCH will surprise, but more often than not, I find them to be outliers. It wasn't too many years ago now that a Weird Tales of the Future #3 sold for $5K on Heritage (and it wasn't particularly high grade.) That was certainly an outlier, as it brought many copies out of the woodwork (in various low grades) that now sit on eBay at high-ish prices. I don't think the same copy could hit 5K if sold today -- right place/right time for the original seller, IMO.

... so true. Tyler (DTA) actually has a fairly decent one on their website at a little over a grand...... seems fair for a book as tough and cool as that one. GOD BLESS...

It's actually at just under $1400 - and the grading there is a bit of a shoot.

That is not a real Bethlehem. It is one of the "faked" ones. No surprise its it a PGX holder.

Thanks Jimbo, you're correct, I was at work and didn't have access to seeing one of my own for comparison.

I was really asking though, if there was any more info on scammers faking these stamps. Like is there a list of forged Bethlehem books?

And is this definitely a forged stamp on that Horrific, hard for me (the uninitiated), to tell?

Here's a real one to compare to.
