OK, it's been almost 24 hours since the poll started, so on with the posting! A whopping 5 votes with 4 yays & 1 nay.

893scratchchin-thumb.gif I wonder who voted No? sorry.gif I guess I'll have to look for more contemporaneous Baker and look at the cover again.

So Keith, what's next popcorn.gif

On with the show...

Isn't it funny how over the years ACG seems to grow more & more on the horror collector? The trend seems to be that early stage horror collectors shun this stuff because it is not over the top gore or whatnot, but as you stay in the hobby over time the clean style of this publisher ( I mean that from a production standpoint, not a content one. ) really becomes attractive. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

Just some recent pick-ups I thought I'd share!

More of a bright cover than one would expect for a horror comic but I love the creatures!

And of course the Paul Lynde looking host (as Pov would say) "The Mummy!"

Ok, this kind of qualifies as horror. I was in a shop over the weekend and found this freak (aka Canadian).

Amazing Mysteries #35 Canadian

Cover is from Amazing Mysteries #32 (Marvel's 1st horror book according to OS) with the stories from AM #35. Couldn't pass it up for the price.

That's cool - as the other Canadian Timely's I've seen from this era have the Marvel logo replced by the Superior one.

One of my favorite pre-code horror covers by the way - even if it isn't that scary.

My last 'Out of the Night.'

Side note: I didn't get to make it to the Mid-Ohio Con this year. All systems were go, but I opted out at the last minute because of other priorities. Wedding expenses, Christmas around the corner, and the baby coming in March simply are more important right now. If anyone went I'd like a report if possible. Last year the horror selection was the best I'd seen in awhile, but the pricing was high at most booths.
