I like to think of that guy on MM as already being decapitated, and a cannibal is dunking him in some nice dip to nosh on with a side of fava beans or something. Of course, he's really being drowned in soup or something, but these are the things that cross a warped horror-mood mind @2:25 A.M. screwy.gif

Oh...and I creep YOU out by saying "ever so slowly" makepoint.gif

Well, looks like I might have an hour before the girlfriend gets here for the weekend. I'll try to post as many Astonishing scans as I can until then. I have a decent run. Here's #7 with a fantastic Maneely cover.

Both of those Astonishing covers, are, well, astonishing. 32 is by Harry Anderson and the best guess I have for 33 is Romita. I checked GCD and they have no credits for the 33.

Here's the Adv WW 13 with a killer Infantino super-vampire story.

PC-Keith,

Love those Atlas covers. I have been actively trying to pick up Everett, Maneely and Heath covers. Surprisingly there were only a few people who picked them as one of their favorite companies.

A while back in the "Skeletons in Your Closet" thread, members posted covers with skeletons on them. There were quite a few, and they were an exceptionally common theme with Atlas. I wonder if that was an editorial decision or just the easiest stories to write about.

Also, have you noticed that no one has posted any EC covers? Those were some of the best drawn covers. Feldstein, Craig, Ingles and Davis (and a couple of Wood's). Not a bad one in the bunch. Guess everybody has seen them already.

Thanks for the postings. I need to buy a new scanner (or find a software fix - keeps getting uncalibrated) and start posting again.

In response to all those great Astonishing covers posted by precode Kieth, I though I'd post my favorite from the run - #30 with the outstanding Maneely eyeball cover.
