Here is an upgrade I'm very happy with. This book is top 5 rarest centaurs. Wasn't sure I'd be able to upgrade given the Berk Larson copy eluded me. Thankfully someone just so happened to have this little diddy tucked away and saw fit to trade it to me for big stacks of benjamins!

A great book and a heck of a nice upgrade.

Wow Rick what a great ride! I now have a lot better appreciation of this publisher. I can't imagine how hard and expensive it was to complete this tough publisher. now that it is all said and done, A tough choice, but my favorite...Funny Pages #40.

Thanks for staying with it. Now, what's next?

I concur about funny Pages 40!

going to list some 15-20 upgrades I've managed then I will continue to work on the 3 runs I'm currently building and maybe post them when completed.

Thanks for viewing

Amazing man 25

This is a notoriously difficult book to obtain. The first time I collected I was unable to obtain one. Metropolis Auctioned the mile high copy about 6 years ago, but I lost out. So i obsessed over locating

Since then I've tried to acquire every copy I've seen over the past years

Going to try to post upgrades in order. Not sure how successful I will be.

Wanted the Berk 25 and 26...got one out of two

Rick, why is the A-Man 25 only a 1.8 (I noticed it had nice pages so obviously not brittle)?

No idea. It's a beaut. I assume spine split?

Amazing mystery funnies v1, #1

While every Centaur collector has their favorite issue or run , this title seems to gather the most interest from collectors of all genres

I believe the first issue of this title I ever owned was v1,1 and if I recall correctly it was the Larson copy

Bill Everett's first nationally published work in comics was the cover to this issue

.

There are issues in this run that are every bit as rare and difficult to obtain as any centaur out there

So let's begin

My 2 favorite runs within titles are amf 1/1-2/6 and funny Pages 35-42

im not a high grade guy by nature and with centaurs, well, good luck insisting on only high grade copies.

Yet recently , the opportunity to upgrade some amfs into the higher grade presented itself...opportunity knocked and I answered, as you will see over the next couple of days

I wish every comic from the publisher had that logo!
