Here's the progress on the fight run. This run has been coming together slowly. I just realized I didn't add issue 24&25😒

Beautiful group! I think Fight is my favorite FH title. Long ago I bought a few then discovered the Matt Baker issues. So I went for the run of them. Then that proceeded to anything with a cool cover from start to end. Other than a few issues, I pretty much have the ones I really want but am always open to another...

Here is my Baker run. From say, #30-50 are my favorites. Probably everybody else's too because they don't turn up often. Sure glad I got started early. And, yeah, I like 'em raw so I can look inside at the wonderful contents!

Got this nice low grade copy of one of my favorite issues in the Fight run at Little Giant a couple weeks ago.

I got it from Jim Payette and noticed it had this Certificate of Provenance on the back of it. From an original owner like collection from Dr. Henry Binford Steele. 

Was just wondering if anyone else has any other knowledge on this collection or even have their own copies from it. Thanks!

Not a recognized CGC pedigree. Another cool collection that Jim picked up fairly recently I think. He has turned up more cool collections than anybody I can think of.

Yep, cool collection, not original owner. I have the Jumbo 17 from the Steele collection.

Been a little while since I have acquired something worthy to post in this thread!! I believe Planet 10 used this early Eisner covered Jungle as a template 🤷‍♂️😎

Awesome!! This cover is super cool Gino. Definitely the inspiration for Planet 10. Love it!

Windy City Pulp Con this year was celebrating 100 years of Fiction House.  It was a great time.  I landed a nice stack of FH, with the highlights being this trifecta of Zolnerowich Jungles and a nifty Jungle Stories.

And then I thought you all would appreciate seeing some original art that was on display at the show.  They had some original cover paintings and interior work to several issues.  And they even had the original to the Jungle Stories I had just purchased shortly before walking into the display room!

This is very interesting to me. We received a call from Janet Steele about three months ago. She was offering to pay us to clean out a room of her house. She said there were stack of old newspaper strips and we were welcome to them. We decided to take a look. The collectibles room had over twenty thousand classical music LPs, three pallet sized stacks of newspaper strips and other large stacks of more recent hardcover and softcover books of comic reprints. There was another room in the house that had shelves full of other books on comics (DC Archives, PS Art Books, Dark Horse Archives etc.) printed right up until recently. There were also binders full of color xeroxes of actual comic covers. But there were a ton of empty shelves and no comic books at all. There was some original art, including a Burne Hogarth Tarzan Sunday, a Russ Manning Magnus page and a cool George Tuska page from Crime Does Not Pay. Janet had literally no idea of the value of anything. She also said that she had thrown out the stuff that was on the empty shelves. As I said, she was planning to pay us to clean the stuff out. We instead made her a reasonable offer on the books, strips and art and I lined up a friend who owns a record store to purchase her record collection.
