Update on the FF 26 in question!

A few Boardies felt I wasnt disclosing enough information about this comic.

So, after contacting Comic Link to find out where THEY got the book, I spent all weekend making phone calls, sending emails, and some internet research, tracing the history of it.

As it turns out, it all started right here

Photobucket

They couldnt tell me when it was planted (sorry), but apperantly is was harvested sometime in 1963.

I hope this clears things up (thumbs u

I really wish you had disclosed this earlier.

Oddly enough...I can see that his comics and your ahem "paper products" all came from the same place. :o

Upon closer examination, it appears Mr. Bedrock prefers al fresco to underoos.

(:

Not for nothing, but I'm looking at the gap in the shirt, and I'm not seeing anything hanging.

He must have the anatomical structure of a Ken doll. hm

All Select #1 tends to make me point in a different direction.

Seriously, the idea that someone needs to disclose what a book graded on a previous submission is just crazy. As long as the book has not been messed with, it's totally irrelelevant.

respectfully disagree. this is a "buy the label" not the book mentality. unless you've got Heritage like scans buying a book that was graded this year was akin to begging for disappointment. i bought a lot of slabs this year and, in my estimation, maybe 1/3 of them looked overgraded in hand.

And should this dislosure trail be extended back through the book's entire history?

I would like to know especially what mill the paper came from before making a purchase. Some non-woodpulp content measures can make a huge difference.

My next sales thread will feature a sub atomic analysis of all comics. That should remove all doubt :makepoint:

In mid October I hit the :takeit: on three books from a seller and a person

I really respect and I screwed up and forgot I needed to renew my car

insurance and I didn't want to keep giving this great guy a bunch of excuses.

I had just gotten over some health problems that made my finances a little

tight and I finally asked him if we could work out a trade and he agreed.

I thought he was happy with the trade and I honestly felt terrible about sort of

forcing him to make a trade and I tried to make it up to him by sending six

books that I thought might be worth more than my purchase price of the three

books. I could really be wrong here as I don't follow the values of books as

closely as most members and honestly don't care.

I bought a book last night and then heard from this seller and I believe he

is quite disappointed with me buying another book two months later. I just

found a new buyer for that book so Shep doesn't lose out on the sale.

Please just add my name to the probation list and leave the seller out of it if

possible. I apologize to everyone on the boards and don't want my screwed

up life disrupting someone's sale ever again.

I thought this hobby was supposed to be fun and it truly isn't anymore. :(

:hi:

:sorry:

I think you might be being a bit hard on yourself. :foryou:

Sorry, Fay, but the rules are rules...you can't turn yourself in, you must be outed by the victim. If the victim felt slighted by this situation he could come here and nominate you, but as it stands, for all we know he/she may be disappointed but also not be unhappy with the outcome.

Fay is good people. :foryou:

I need to hear all the facts from both sides and know what books were involved in the trade before I can form a satisfactory informed opinion on whether or not somebody was screwed or something.
