DeadpoolJr.
Just came across a piece I sold less than 2 months ago now on Ebay at around 4 times the price it sold for. Really glad it went to someone who liked it.

vodou
There's a Giordano romance cover on eBay right now being sold for the second time in August 2017. I wonder who actually won it, the feedback of the winner and re-seller do not match

Nexus
If I'm looking to spend upwards of high five-figures on Jack Kirby art, I'll listen to Glen Gold before trusting GCD. That's just me. Although judging from what I've seen here over the years, I would say there are definitely those who should refrain from buying anything Kirby (or "Kirby") until they educate themselves better. williamhlawson

I'll have to force myself to keep this mind if I'm feeling impulsive. I'm a fairly new collector, but was recently fortunate enough to get a small Moebius published piece. Kirby is next on my list. So -- even though they're claiming someone bought it, it didn't actuallysell, unless I'm not reading that correctly. I think with this example -start to finish, and right on the heels of the Herriman foolishness, same House- our hobby has officially jumped the shark. If I didn't love my collection so much, I'd dump it all right now, spread across all the (reputable) Houses and calendar for the next twelve months. Seriously. 12,500 (unsold, reserve not met, bought in, chandelier bid, who knows?!) becomes 20,000/bo. Please. I hope they die with it over three lifetimes. Andahaion
This thread is eye opening. Not sure what else to say. I've also come across an example recently. And one really doesn't have to look very hard either. Makes me hesitate to pull the trigger on anything. williamhlawson

That's hardly a markup, taking fees into account. More like a breakeven at best (meaning BIN, not BO!) and thus a fail. It's not like he's asking double. Perhaps there is a good reason for the sale. I think the gist of this thread it to highlight the dooshy moves. This ain't one.
