3 late 1930’s Felix and Mickey Mouse French editions. The cool thing is that you really don’t need to read French to understand them. The beauty of story telling through pictures.

Never seen any of these Felix books very cool and that Mickey Mouse is very early and in nice shape

I'm curious when coloring with crayons overtook painting in these sorts of books. Wax crayons were already common by the time this book came out and would have been easier to use than paint (I would think).

Felix the Cat stories drawn by the greatly under appreciated Otto Messmer have amazing artwork.  Even though Pat Sullivan’s name is listed, Otto slaved away in obscurity.

Crayons were invented in 1903 so I assume by the time these books came out, kids used both.

I can’t say that I knew that Sonja Henie was Queen of the ice but it was a coloring book from 1939 had to have it

Children of other lands came out in many forms loved the colors so picked up

Not in the best shape but saved it from a rubbish pile a Tom Thumb story book

Good old scrappy a painting book from 1937 started buying these when I could find them didn’t know there were so many

Any Walt Disney book from 1930s or 1940 was a prize this paint book was no exception

A platinum snuck in here bought quite a few of these as well
