Silver Surfer
Stephen my apologies as I just realized that I probably ruined your thread by posting non-black and white issues from the early 40's. Please restart a new thread if you like.
Guardian Comics
Seeing as there hasn't even been a sniff on it, I don't mind outing it here. http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch%5Fadv%2Easp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3Dcaptain%2Bamerica%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CGC%3DYES%26CensusRank%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26WCATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26SORT%3DNEW%26%5Fwhere%5Fforsale%3Dy%26%5Fwhere%5Fauctions%3Dy%26x%3D21%26y%3D9%26where%5Fforsale%3Dy&id=751530 This book really intrigues me, but what would a realistic price be? Great books by the way Silver Surfer!! I have been slacking too. So here are few books in the last 4 months. Jim Jim take a look at my mid grade copy which should be in this thread somewhere. I only paid $400 for it and I bought it from Metro. I would love to own the 9.0 copy but honestly I couldn't see myself paying much over $1,500 for it, MAYBE $2,000 if I really wanted it but that's it. Silver Surfer
Jim I probably own more of these Timley's prints than anyone else on these boards but $6,000 is just way too much. I couldn't even get a sniff for my #74 copy at that price (mind you I would pay that much if I needed a copy). [/img]

bergdoll
I'll have to post some of my books here. My collection of Golden-Age Canadians is pretty meager (about 50-60 books), but there are some neat ones. Mostly all Anglo-Americans. Silver Surfer
Always room for another Canadian collector. In the last 12 months its been my impression that more Canadian prints have hit the market and more collectors of these books are surfacing. BB-Gun
I hear that it is already snowing in the northwest which means it is snowing in Canada too. Not much to do back in 1945, when weather was like that, but sit back and read your Weekender. Or go watch the ice skaters. Petty was good. The Mister E story in Weekender was well drawn too. bb Are issues of the Weekender rare? It was a 7 in Gerber and not shown.
