I second the 1st Wolverine and the X-Men as I already have a few copies between the two books and I am not currently seeking those out right now. However, there are others out there that you might want to do some research on. Expect help and insight but do not expect everyone to flat out provide inside information to you. I do not mean that in a condescending tone (unfortunately the written word comes across that way and for that I apologize in advance) but it is the truth. Many of us are silently chasing books that are not on everyone's radar and are not going to openly create competition for that book until we have secured a copy. That’s fair but then I’d be foolish to expect everyone to say all that’s on their mind in radar. I was expecting what I got.... some bigger name items and the valid justification for them. Never planning to blindly follow but if one gets more pushed than others like IH 181, then it becomes worth it to look closer. thanks for the input. Black Cat 50, Chamber of Chills 19, Crimesuspenstories 22, etc. Yes, they have moved up fast, but have plenty of room to grow. Anyways, I think you can never go wrong with the best IH 181 or ASM 129 you can find for 3k. Perhaps giant size x-men 1 or x-men 94. If so, I wouldn't go for Disney stock though since it has gone absolutely nowhere over the past 3 years. Some of the health care stocks like the cannabis ones might do okay longer term, especially since they have all gone through a 40% to 60% retracement from their recent highs a few weeks ago. Of course, most of them are still a double or triple from where they were back in November, although there's always high volatility with stocks in a new and emerging industry as legalization takes hold globally going forward. There's always going to be a number of books from the golden age, silver age, bronze, copper, modern that are great investments and could erupt in value at a given day. All boils down to supply and demand. Just buy a book or books that you would enjoy having. I think GPA Analysis would be a good starting point to study and analyze both past and current trends of books especially for silver age and newer. I think you are right about the access to information driving prices. I was in my teens and reading Keith Contarino's reports like they were some secret scroll. I'd head to my local conventions and shops and come out with a stack of "under valued" books. It was a great time. He turned me on to some books I still love today (ToS #58 being the biggest). Or just to be able to say that you own a valuable comic after that time and know that you got a good deal? If you buy a book for $3000 and plan to sell it on eBay in 2 years you'll need to sell it for $3450 just to net your $3000 after selling fees. So unless your book explodes in price then really there is not much money to be made. Buy something that makes you happy but don't expect to make too much money on it...
