bronze_rules
Just thinking along the lines of original Starlin material... Wouldn't it make sense that Gamora is inside the soul gem? Maybe not dead. That place with the red skull was the kind of inside soul gem? And secondly, GOTG Gunn, said Gamora will have a larger role in next installment, so I definitely don't think she's dead. Also, I vaguely recall that scene with Thanos sitting in farmer attire at the end, maybe in Inifinity Gauntlet, and I think he was also in the soul gem? In the storyline, Warlock came to rescue Gamora. My thinking on the deaths, was that they didn't phase me in the least, as I didn't expect any to stick. Hate to see a Star Trek Generations everyone died in the nexus but not in reality, but looking that way. Otherwise why not bring back EVERYBODY they ever lost in the past. They have to limit it to only the ones that got turned to ash. I also don't think they can bring back Gamora (even though they did in the comic). She was sacrificed to get the soul stone. Bringing her back would be in conflict with the rules of the infinity gem. There has to be a definitive/permanent purpose of the sacrifice...otherwise there is no consequences.

If everyone is brought back to life, all that emotional buildup audiences experienced would be disingenuous - but due to storytelling. But if the remaining heroes figure out how to reverse Thanos's plan, you would think the power of the Time Stone is naturally being applied in this case. Depending on how the story plays out, this may seem too easy a wrap-up. But it would make sense from the backstory of the gems. Time Stone: Allows the user to see into the past and the future; stop, slow down, speed up or reverse the flow of time; time travel; change the past and the future; age and de-age beings; and trap people or entire universes in unending loops of time. At full potential, the Time Gem grants the user omniscience and total control over the past, present and future. Without an Adam Warlock, I wonder who in the end will be the keeper of the Infinity Gauntlet?

Just because the Russos said "No Warlock" in Avengers 3 doesn't mean the same for Avengers 4. New road ahead.
kdoginohio
is anyone else bothered by the Red Skull looking a lot like Death(or vise a versa)? and, how tough is cap that he took a shot to the head from Thanos and got up? I was wondering that myself, but then disregarded it. When I was driving back from the theater, I was thinking, "Does the Super-Soldier Serum strengthen your skull since there are hardly any muscles around your head to buffer that punch?" Bosco685
Questions: 1) Thanos punches Captain America so hard in the head during their battle - the same punch that crippled the Hulk - Cap gets up afterwards like nothing happened? Does the Super-Soldier Serum strengthen your skull? 2) The Black Order times perfectly when to make a move on the Mind Stone on Vision's head. How did they even know Scarlett Witch was guarding him, so then they make the jump to Shuri's lab when she appears on the battlefield? 3) When the Black Order realizes Scarlett Witch has left Vision in Shuri's lab, they have Corvus Glaive port outside the door in order to attack Vision for the Mind Stone. But they have never even been to Wakanda. How did they know where to find Vision?

Nope. I loved how Red Skull looked. He can't be wearing a Hydra outfit...that would have been more bothersome. Technically, he didn't get right back up right away. He got knocked out. Thanos could have just frozen time and walked right up to Vision. But that wouldn't have been really worth watching. I think they did a good "movie scene" as he slow mo stopped everybody. nepatkm and Larryw7

You could use a nuclear bomb but a fly swatter works just fine hahahahah. 2 & 3. Yeah. We need to find out what powers each of the Black order have. Hopefully the DVD elaborates...maybe Corvus has super intel abilities. But sometimes the answer is "it's a movie". moments: - Who, what, where Gamora - Kick names, taking (butt) - Standing there for an hour ***All Drax scenes Edited April 29, 2018 by AnthonyTheAbyss
Bosco685
What about the overall reality that Thanos and The Black Order are so powerful - and the Infinity Stones so meaningful to Thanos - why did he even trust Loki during The Avengers and Ronan the Accuser during Guardians of the Galaxy to get these stones? Based on what we saw, Thanos would just take care of this himself along with his children. I get it though - for extended storytelling, it was adding these lackeys first. chrisco37
The Red Skull return was a nice surprise. Wasn’t expecting that. Spidey & BP were big shockers as well (but we know they’ll both be back). I think the biggest thing to take out of it was the Dr. Strange stuff. Before they faced Thanos, he told Tony that he’d sacrifice Tony, Spidey, anyone really to keep the stone away from Thanos. Then he has his “vision” where there’s only one scenario out of 14 million+ where they prevail. Obviously, he did what he had to do in that one winning scenario (give up the stone). He didn’t do it just to save Tony. He did it as the one winning scenario required that he give the stone up. Since it’s Hollywood and all, Tony (RJD) must play a pivotal role in the resolution. Let’s face it, the Movie MU exists because Iron Man was such a surprise hit. RJD was the initial star of it all (and still the biggest, along with Sam Jackson). But he can’t go on forever. They’re giving him his Swan Song. I don’t have a problem with that. Great movie. Right there on the first tier with The Avengers.
