Great report on how you found that collection. Too bad CGC didn’t recognize the collector’s 5000 comic book collection. But I see their point in what it take to get the status, very tough with the criteria. 

Would love to see the photos. When you said there are deep runs of Pep comics and Disney, that got my attention. What else is there you didn’t mention. Hoping that you are thinking to do a sale thread someday. 

Any Jughead comics in there?

As it always goes, you don't put much faith in phone calls like this. Most of the time you're dealing with books that are either over graded, or not real (I was part of a large potential collection find once that was supposed to make the Edgar Church find look like small potatoes but it turned out to be an elaborate hoax), or stolen or the books just ended up getting scooped before you can get to them.

I guess we all dream of making a find like this. Every time I walk into an antique store I look for that box under a table, filled with Golden age books, like how the Larson collection was found. Congrats on finding some awesome books in high grade.
