Could someone explain what I'm missing here?

I was looking through Ebay and came across 2 books and I do not understand the price Difference, Is it simply 1 person is out of his mind and is asking too much or Am I missing something?

Both books are CGC Signature Series Amazing Spider-Man #1's.....

1 is a 7.0 with an asking price of 35,000

1 is a 7.5 with an asking price of 85,000

surely a .5 difference doesnt equal 50,000 dollars more in this case does it?

You can ask 50K for a ham sandwich but it doesn't mean anything. Unless these books actually sell for those prices, there's nothing to comment on.

Roy had a 16 K 1/2 of a Turkey Sandwich once - I think it meant something.

The same reason that this guy is asking a million dollars for a stick figure drawing. I was a little more modest with my offer but ultimately the sale fell through........

What you have to understand is that there are a bunch of insufficiently thoughtful people on eBay that are gonna overprice books in hopes of hitting it big.

A 7.5 copy not signed by Stan Lee recently sold for $36000.  So yes, this guy is more than a little bit over market unless you believe Stan's sig is worth $50k

Actually also EXCLUDE the word "fantasy" so you'll eliminate all the AF#15 that come up

Advanced Sort for ASM 1 without word Fantasy

The pricing issue is more about the SL Sig on this particular book. I tend to think it's value is increased a lot more than his Sig on some random junk book... But not $50k!

It means something to me if there is mayo and avocado on it, and I'm sheet faced drunk.

Should have offered $3.50... always offer $3.50... that's the magic number!
