I'm glad about that, I didn't originally plan to be this close to Christmas when I first set out my plan.  This auction I have books closing just about each night for the next 7 days. It's not stressing me out, but I do hope to hit a certain level when its all said and done.

Those Centaurs sure are nice. I've got my sights on a few tomorrow. How about this AC 7? Sure is a nice looking 1.0. I really wanted it but someone wanted it more. $1,527.00 more to be exact. For a very brief moment I thought my dream just might  come true. 6 seconds to be exact. Oh well. 

Other than that not so great looking bottom right,  book looks better than a 1.0 and better than any of the 1.8's I've seen. What do you all think of that final price?

Agree nice looking copy. The brittle is bad, but it is Action 7. I bought a copy little cheaper 2 years ago but the eye appeal not as nice. I was interested but once it went past 25k I was out.

AF 15 tends to vary quite a bit depending on appearance, marvel chipping, etc.  This is a great looking 5.5 which means the drop is even more than it appears at first blush.

I was hoping everyone would be thinking like you and bailing at 25k so I went 2 incriments over. Kinda bummed because I think this was most likely my only chance ever on getting an AC 7. But that's how it goes. Guess I'll just focus on upgrading my AC 23 a bit. 

To me considering what it is and how few are out there I don't think 27K was overpaying at all. Not putting down AF 15's but I'll take a 1.0 AC 7 over a 3.0 AF 15 any day of the week.

We both know the book would have gone well over 30k if not brittle. I see the back cover scan pages look nice? but front bottom right does look brittle. The book will only go up since it is a poor man's Action 1. I will say if you bought for 28k you would have buyer's remorse for few days than you would have been happy. I have tried to buy a few and lost ever time and always wished I would have bid just a little more. I will say time is running out on getting one of these under 50k prices are just way out of reach for most people who love comics for comics.

I take Action 7 1.0 over a 5.0 Fantasy 15 any day Action 7 is a rare rare rare great book.

I had a nice copy in 1982 when I was 19. I wanted a copy back for the last 23 years when I got back into collecting and it took 21 years to get one now, I am 59 and still need a copy of Action 2 in any shape to relive my childhood  so anyone who has Action 2 look me up.

Wow, $42K for this modern variant and ASM 129 9.8 goes for roughly $10K less. The modern variant market is one I’ll never understand, but to each their own. And please no one try to make me understand why it is worth $42K, I’ll never take haha.

There was definitely some solid deals in what’s closed soo far. Seems to be turning more and more into a buyers market once again as sales have softened some.

Let me know when that first book comes down to $42. I'll buy a copy just to know what all the hubbub is about.

You got me by just 6 years but amassing those books at just 19 is quite commendable even in 82, heck even in 72. I guess you passed on the 3.5 that just ended a few days ago?

I doubt you'll have to worry about the here. But that's a good thing. Better that people with enough money for that are spending it on stuff like that rather than the stuff we want.

Yep, looks like the book is no longer listed as part of this auction as I guess Josh doesn't want any non-sales to show up as it paints a negative picture.  

But it does show up here now as part of his listing under Comic Books For Sale with either a place your bid or Buy It Now for $1:
