You actually made me go and looked, and there were indeed at least a few of them in this CGC 5.5 grade that did managed to hit 6-figures.  

I guess it's really shouldn't be that much of a surprise in the downward movement since there's always multiple copies of this book available in every single auction.

I’m already out on all the books I put tracking bids on.  Maybe the superhero books are weak this auction but the PCH, GGA, and cool covers  seem strong.

Seven Seas must be on a lot of lists. This book 

 

is at $4200 with a day to go. That seemed high, then I checked GPA and a 2.0 recently sold for $7200!

Even with chipping that’s got to be a weak sale for a 3.0 right? My buddy bought a ratty looking 2.0 for $30K like 1-2 years ago, and it was solid at the time. So this seems like it’s gone down.

Pre-code gold is definitely doing well though it seems. Solid sale with this Astonishing 30. Looks like an 8.0 sold for $5200 in 2019.

Yes it's weak. Hulk 1 3.0's were coming down too until everyone decided they had to have the one tonight. To be fair it was a nice Hulk 1 and a not so nice AF 15. Still Hulkamania almost topped it brother! That never happens.

That looks like GPA. It doesn't include a additional sale or two by Bob Storms during that period. I also saw at least one on IG.

While I don't believe that most comics or OA benefited from the Crypto Bubble, I do believe that whatever Crypto money did come into the market would have gone mostly into books like AF 15.

It's the perfect book for people with money to burn who know almost nothing about comics other than having read Spider-Man at one point in their childhood.

It may just be Clink.  There's a thread going on in the OA forum that has concluded Clink's best marketing line might be that it's the only place to still find bargains in OA.  Maybe it's true for comics too.

I never get over to the OA forum, and that’s a thought that had not occurred to me (that’s pretty funny - their best marketing line is “Here be bargains”)  Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately it makes less likely that the low prices will be replicated over at Heritage on the books I want.

Yep, I only have access to HA, CC, Goldin, Hakes, and eeebay from the site I use.  And if anybody needs any past sales info of any book feel free to ask in a pm or wherever. I got nothing else going on these days. 

And yeah mid grade AF 15's are taking a shellacking lately.

Came across this copy of Superworld Comics #1 selling in the auction. I've never heard of this title before, but per the description one of the earliest sci-fi comics so that's interesting. To be honest though, not a big fan of the cover art. Not really doing it for me for some reason.

hard to believe its going so low. last GPA 3000.00 for 1.0 and classic cover IMO...but what do I know

I’d be surprised if this copy doesn’t run close to 10k before it’s all said and done. The glue may dissuade some buyers but it’s a tough book.
