Your money/tradeables at Cons 2 2

The amount I bring always depends on the show/con I'm going to. Some I spend big, some just a few hundred...I'll sometimes bring 1-2 things I might trade, trading always ends up being more of a hassle for me  

 

Always bring CASH

You really think people are going to tell you how much cash they are carrying at a con? 

As far as trading goes, most dealers are there for your cash unless you are offering keys for run books.

I only did one trade in my life and that was back in the mid 90's.  I traded away a Gen 13 Boxed set for a copy of ASM 5.   At the time, I was hosed.  By today's standards I made out big since I still have the book.

I suck at trades though.  I would always second guess myself and would never be at ease. 

 

As stated... Cash is King.   Sell the books you don't want on your own and bring more cash.

I only trade with dealers I know well. I've been on the losing end of trades, and on the winning end, and everywhere in between. I find trading more fun than just handing money over.

I've gone to cons and spent nothing and I've gone and spent thousands. It all depends on what I find. So this analogy doesn't really work for me.
