Since we are in a sea-going mood...

This one has a really good Al Williamson story.

Hey Bill....any way you could post a couple digital pics of the Williamson story...I've been wondering if that one has a specific story I remember when I was a kid....but I haven't seen a copy in person to inspect it. If you can't ,it's cool. GOD BLESS...

Got more sea action for you swabbies out there.

Navy Tales #1 with a pretty cool Everett Cover and a rare Pete Morisi story.

NAVY TALE 1

Navy Tales # 3 with a Severin cover.

NAVY TAL 3

Navy Combat # 1 Maneely cvr and story plus Heck, Sinnott and Lawrence art.

NAVY COM 1

A very cool Heath cover. Artwork by Lawrence, Maneely and Romita

NAVY ACT 5

Maneely's character "Battleship Burke" appears in these issues along with excellent Colan and Lawrence artwork.

NAVY ACT 8

This is Gene Colan's splash pg from the NA # 8. Love the dialog and expressions on the faces. Its a little faint, but check it out.

SPLAS NA 8

And my favorite of the batch with this terrific Maneely cover (#9).

Hi Jimbo,

I will dig it out of my archive...but I do recall the story... It was about a guy who lost his job to a robot and then organizes a big political movement to abolish all robots. Everyone changes their mind, of course, after one of the 'bots performs a selfless act and saves the Earth from an alien invasion. Typical Atlas pabulum...but its great stuff!

Howdy partners, time for some more "Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' " action.

There's 18 inches of snow on the ground and still more coming. What else to do but download some sweet Atlas comics.

Lets start with the classic "mounted bank robber jumping through the bank window" cover.

Great set of books. :applause: :applause:

For a while, I was not buying the Atlas Westerns I saw but, lately, I scoop them up as I see them when they are cheap. Great entertainment for the value. There are series I do try to avoid though.

If you all are not aware of the fantasitc article by Ger Apeldoorn in this month's ALTER-EGO (#90) about 50's Atlas & Stan Lee's writting -- you are now officially notified.

Also, check out Ger's Fantastic Fifties web page for stuff that was edited from the article and lots of rare scans of complete Atlas pre-code stories!

Its a great way to spend an hour online!
