To get the Pedigree label, the book must be from one of CGC's Recognized Pedigrees.  List of those is shown here: https://www.cgccomics.com/resources/pedigree/

 Even assuming non-color breaking creases, those books still look sharper than 8.0s and 8.5s.  I would expect to see much more visible wear on books in those grades.

 Here are a few more really nice Mohawk Valley comics from my collection:

The Mohawk Valley pedigree is I believe the fourth most common in my collection after Northland, Bethlehem and Dallas Stephens. I wish I had more.
