Haven't posted in this thread in a while, and have picked up a number of books during my absence, with a few more on the way!

My slow climb up the upgrade ladder for this book. Haven't received it yet, but looking forward to it!:

I'm on record that I'm not a fan of the photo background, but that Superman pose is awesome!

Part of the Neal Superboy cover run; his best. This was a low ball bid on CLink and I guess I am the only one out there that wanted it.

I still need a 9.6 copy but now have (2) lower copies to enjoy until then.

The start of Bronze-Age Batman? (Love this cover incidentally):

This book is so hard to find that I scooped this one up the second it became available. I want one in a higher grade if anyone has any leads:

Gotta get this thing out of this god awful holder of completely unknown origin that the previous owner had this book in! ;)

The only thing cooler than Hellgrammite is this cover!

Batman being pushed out of a plane over Washington DC? If that doesn't make you want to read a comic, what cover will?

I always consider Batman 217 to be the start of the BA for the title, at least from a thematic standpoint. I've never seen an entire room agree, however. I mean, Bruce shudders the mansion and moves to the penthouse and Grayson moves out for college... a major change. It stayed that way on through the Newton CA years. The lazy thinkers usually choose Batman 200, with it's convenient Neal Adams cover.... I guess not everyone actually reads the comics   GOD BLESS ....

I've got one. Got it from @MrBedrock I talked to Neal about it before a show one weekend and he remembered it. He said he thought he was 19 when he did the work, and said it was some of his early pro work. GOD BLESS....

He used to have a checklist of works on his website and it was on it.  There is no doubt it is Neal Adams.

Wort noting he did it during his one year stint with ad agency Johnson & Cushing and it was not only his first cover but also his first full story and first full comic.  Previously he’d had his first comic work (one panel) and some half and full page gag strips in Archie comics.  So this book is significant and should be a grail for Neal Adam’s collectors.
