Also did a little digging and found this link: Jason Fabok: BATMAN: ETERNAL Quote When they approched me about doing a promo piece, they wanted a big epic Batman drawing, something that looked classic and bold but also showcased what is to come. I had been working on a sketch cover when they presented this to me, and I liked what I had on the sketch enough to use it as a base for this layout. I believe this is the actual sketch cover he's referring...maybe...the date shows 10/3/13. The book came out as a Wondercon exclusive in Feb 2014. I sent in a previously signed Stan blank and asked for Spider-man Stan in a style of his choice. Requested to use as much space as possible. I am more than pleased with the outcome.
