DIY Slabbing: Anyone use 'em for their display? 2 2

I'm not a volume collector. Just getting back into collecting for some key/nostalgia grabs. I already picked up some cgc slabbed books and got a few raw books on the way. I display the cgc slabs on my wall and don't think getting the raw books professionally slabbed is necessary right now. I am trying out some DIY slabs that are similar but still can be opened but display like the cgc books. Anyone have thoughts/experiences with self slabbing alternatives? On a side note, I am making my own custom labels in a similar style for my DIY slabs which has been kinda fun to do in the meantime.

Also ordered some cheap hologram stickers from etsy. That's why the 1" space on the front label right side.

Ahhhh.....Must have been a fluke during the creative process.

Many posters here remove books from the slabs and I've been able to buy empty the slabs from them. That seems much easier than making your own.

I just got a notification from FeeBay that another Remorse Buyer is returning the ASM 365 NM+ 9.6. 

I had lowered this from NMT+ 9.8 but he overspent.

Oh well...

Where are you sourcing the DIY slabs?  I am thinking of making custom  sets as I give the books for xmas gift and bdays to my grand nephews and nieces.  The lables will simply be with their name on it and a Custom Scale .. no fake CGC intended just a way to preserve gifts.
