My wife and I watched To kill a Mockingbird just a few weeks ago. She had never seen it (she's from the Philippines, so it's understandable). I had seen this movie so many times in school, first time watching outside of a school setting, such a great movie. onlyweaknesskryptonite

onlyweaknesskryptonite
So back to the Actor. This one Gene Wilder. Like so many of the ones I have already mentioned you can pick just about any movie he has been in and will not be disappointed. That said here are 3 I would say that if you haven't seen them you, you should at least once.

Roger66
Not sure anyone mentioned it here but DEEP SPACE 9 is a great worthy series... might even be the best of all the Star Treks for continuing story lines, character development, plot twists and emotional impact etc Namtak

Needless to say , it’s one of the most visceral , jingoistic and accurate portrays of combat and camaraderie displayed on film, Spielberg’s decision to use bleach bypass to subdue the colors was a wonderful touch in a film he credited as an homage to his father .Tom Hanks had one heck of a run in the 90’s. Terrence Malicks “ Thin red line “ came out later in the year and never got the same attention SPR did although it’s a powerful / nature/ philosophical take on war and these are two of my favorites . I’ll do a war film list next ... . Namtak

I keep telling my kids to watch a great, ahead-of-its-time tv show from the 1970s but I do not think it is available free anywhere (at least not when I checked last) Roger66
Old_Man_Adam
Including the two above “ saving private Ryan” ” thin red line “ ( a sequel to “ from here to eternity “) * for the record , I preferred “American sniper “ and “ lone survivor” novellas more than the films “ life is beautiful “ and “ empire of the sun” are both set against the backdrop of WW2 and are powerful dramas onlyweaknesskryptonite, Namtak and bentbryan
