Wasn't an all time high but a very strong result none the less. It was a nice looking 9.4 which I'm sure contributed.

I did end up winning two of the Crazy Ed Tecs. I paid a lot for the 377, so we will see if that was a wise move. I am trying to get the SA villain covers in 9.4, in addition to a 9.4 Adams Batman and Tec run. I have a decent copy in at CGC right now, but I don’t think it will hit 9.4.

The other win was the Tec 401 9.4 for a whopping $4 below the last GPA sale. That feels like winning the lottery based on the other auctions tonight 😭

Isn't this always the case. I just paid a 2 year high for this... but it is a smoker of a 9.4. At least from the scans, we'll see how it holds up in hand.

I came really close to taking a stab at this a couple nights ago but didn't.  Entered my bid and watched the timer tick down because I just couldn't do it.  Anyway, I think that's back to around 2020 prices.  Still a bit salty that I passed on one for 20k right when I came back to collecting in 2018, but at the time it was at an all-time high by a wide margin and was hard to believe it'd keep going up.

Someone got a pretty good deal tonight.   I wouldn't think an auction closing on Labor Day is the best idea......

This is the same price that a 2.5 sold for on MCS on 8/27 .     2024 Average for a 3.5 across 7 sales (excluding the book below) was $32k.     The chart below is a clip from where I try to track sales from GPA plus auctions like Clink that are not included in GPA.

I'm not seeing a lot of softness in this ongoing CL auction. Then I'm not in the key market. Just a year ago I had to be very careful with tracking bids, to not inadvertently win more than I could afford. GOD BLESS ...

I take it that the grader's notes told a nasty story about the back cover? The front is weak for a 3.5 - this may have been a case of buy the book, not the grade, holding true.

yikes, good deal or is the bottom still in the future?  

 

Maybe 22k for a 3.5 will be a good sale in the next few months.. prices tend to drop even more as we reach the holidays....
