This is my first post.  Please be gentle...

Bought this in 1982 for $100.   I plan to slab. I'm feeling my way through the process.  I've sent in a few book to learn how it goes.   Appreciate any thoughts/comments.

4.5 to 5.0, depending on how much they feel like clocking it for that back cover stain/scuffing (it looks like it would benefit highly from a dry cleaning if it isn't a stain)

Thanks guys! 4.0 was my floor but I'm new to grading.  This forum is such a training resource and fun at the same time.

I'm going to get it screened for C+P.  That big stain on the back seems like old grime.  In any case I'm very happy.

Yep - a lot of things bought for $100 back in the '80s would have lost all value, so it was a good investment.

$100 used to be a lot of coin in 1982. I painted houses in summertime for $400 in 1981. Money went further back then. A very good investment indeed.

I poured my spending money into a pile of tired looking TOS and much better looking Iron Man comics.  Just buying them cuz I liked them.  Crazy kid.  Who knew?

I did likewise, spending $100 on FF#1 in mid-70s. Your book is in better grade than what I got though.
