What is wrong with Capitalism and 2 spec/influencers buying 200 of the 750 acetate UF 4 variants for the immediate WhatNot pump and dump? Cgc 'authenticated' these 4 staple comics as legit UF #4 instant low print run blue label ultra high grade FOMO 'collectibles.'

And the YouTubers who have the best interest of the collector in mind, but profited from "cutsy's and greed" are hiding with no videos about their experiences at C2E2 on YouTube or IG?

Someone commented on Skeff's IG account, most likely as this could be considered a WhatNot issue as well. I guess it's going to be called "Black Flagged", whatever that means.

I hope this doesn't blow over as I said, this is just quite sad.

Skeff hasn't posted anything from C2E2 and then even Gem took down his video defending all this.

I can't see how this is going to blow over at all, especially with how loud the YouTube community is about this.

I am of 2 camps. 
 

1. I do feel bad for those very specific individuals who truly wanted this book, for whatever reason, in their collection… and got screwed out of it. 
 

2. I do not feel bad for everyone else. 
 

This book summarizes what is wrong with modern comic collecting.

Is anyone even questioning at this point that CGC is selling grades? I hope they made a boat load of money on this to make the debacle worth it.

With the combination of the Bad Idea Invisible and these , in my mind there is no more doubt that CGC doesn't just gatekeep the 10's and 9.9's anymore, They charge for them.

Nope.  But I am questioning how far this corruption extends?  Does it stop at buying grades?  What about buying a restoration check pass?  Line skipping for faster than fast track grading?  Payments guaranteeing your copy remains the single highest graded copy on the census?  Colluding with auction houses?  And finally what all my graded CGC copies are really worth and if we'll ever be able to trust another grading company again. Seriously, what's to stop any other company from doing the same thing?  And how do I buy the book and not the label if most of the best books are already in slabs unable to examine the book thoroughly?
