CGC didn't know that these reprints were modified after being shipped to the retailer! 

CGC didn't know that the acetate covers were added AFTER the books were published and distributed to the retailer!

Seriously.  Are you F'ing kidding me Rob Liefeld?  CGC was the deceived innocent party?  When you declare yourself THE authority on certifying collectibles with accurate and impartial grading, you don't get a pass for being "deceived" by a fly-by-night, flash-in-the-pan "influencer" who's been alive for barely as long as your expert certification company has been operating.  Stick to drawing dudes with 3 biceps on their arms.

Rob is such a weird character.  He's honest and forthright, I'll give him that.  But his takes are so bad sometimes.  I agree on the legality issue, but to say CGC was hoodwinked is such a dumb take.  They weren't just hoodwinked once, they were hoodwinked twice when @CGC Mike came out with his first statement.  And then hoodwinked a third time with his second statement.  And then hoodwinked yet again with the last follow up.

CGC: "fool me once, shame on the board.  fool me twice, shame on the boards again.  fool me three times, what else can we do to wring money from customers?"

Yeah, I'm happy to see that Leifeld recognizes the obvious illegality of the bootleg acetate books, but boy is he going to feel dumb when he sees CGC Mike's comment that CGC agreed to this only because they understood exactly what the book was ahead of time.  

Right?  I didn't imagine that part, did I?  It was a lot of pages ago.

I have never liked Rob, his work or anything about him. He is the only signature of a prominent artist I do not have in my collection.

He fights with everyone and always seems to be in the wrong and then usually quits Twitter.
