I started a thread when I sold my raw books three months ago, but still had the CGC books and a household full of stuff.  Today I sold the rest.  What they say about boats is hopefully true about stuff in general because I just sold all of mine.

The only comics I kept were Marvel Omni- FF1,2 Avengers 1,2, Spidey 1,2 and the two Taschen volumes.  I still have books on consignment on MCS, and some in their pipeline, and a few loaned to a dealer.

I did the same earlier this year.   The whole bunch.

Though there are minor occasions where I think about a book or two, I'm fine with the decision.

After it's gone, I think you'll feel the same.  Took a lot of anxiety away from me.

Now I just focus on my toys.

Congrats.  Slowing selling off my sports card collection right now.  Might hit it big this year if the market holds up.  Enough for me to not worry about my job any more and allow me the time to slowly sell off my comic collection.

As much as I love all the junk I accumulate, at some point you need to sell and move onto other things.

That looks like my place - if I got rid of a bunch of stuff and cleaned up a bit.

Not bad.  So maybe take some of the money and buy something you would want to keep, that you never thought was practical to own.  Quality over quantity.  Maybe it has to do with comics, maybe it doesn't.

Ruth card?   Maybe something like that.

Next up is exploring the West, although it is late in the season. It's hard to imagine ,sitting on my deck and it is in the 80s, that ski resorts a few hundred miles away are preparing for snow.

Good stuff!!  I sold off 0.003% of my collection a year ago (UXM 1-12 and a handful of atomic age books) for a goog chunk of cash, and I still don't regret it actually.  Now I have another 150 or so keys/good books that I'll be moving soon, likely through MCS. I'm being lazy though...gotta get it done as well!

As of this moment, I have a handshake agreement , and a big deposit,  for a gentleman to buy not only the rest of my comics but everything else I choose to sell- my toys, my western goods, my recycled metal sculptures and anything and everything.  It's amazing how small transactions can blossom almost overnight.   A return buyer had an appointment to buy a box of Marvel Masterpieces and I was hoping to sell him some more. When he started looking around, he asked to take a few photos and in minutes we were discussing a bigger deal and after we both thought it over overnight, I presented my terms and we had our agreement.  I keep my toy soldier collection, my coins/ precious metals and pre1970s cards and memorabila. He gets all the non-military toys, post 70 sports stuff, ect, ect.  We estimate three truckfulls.  Knocking off $300 a month for storage space is an unexpected bonus.

I've got mixed feelings. It's hard to let go but I'm wondering if this will really be the end or will I start over with a clean slate.  I still have a good amount of stuff on consignment, but I'm not planning on replacing items as they sell.

I think it's a good time to sell. I sold off 2 years ago. Still have tens of thousands of books but nothing of high value. I keep buying but instant sell. Not keeping anything long-term.
