Popular Post buttock
I was going to post all the Russ Heath Atlas war covers chronologically in the Atlas thread, but someone asked if I could start a separate thread so as to include other works of his. Sounds like a great idea to me, and I hope he and others will join in. To start things off, here are the first 4 war covers he did for Atlas. tth2
Great idea for a thread, and awesome books to kick things off! It's fascinating to see how "loose" his style was at the beginning. buttock and jimjum12
Popular Post davet75
Love not War! Not my copy (I need to upgrade), but my favorite Heath romance cover. PopKulture, Jasonmorris1000000, damonwad and 4 others
Popular Post Point Five
I've become a big fan of Heath's 1950s war covers... and I'm not even a war collector! His inking work/shadows/shading is breathtaking. This one is probably my absolute favorite, but there are many such gems. Popular Post fifties
Let's not forget his contributions to the horror genre. He could produce some of the most terrifying cover illustrations in the PCH era. jimjum12, goldust40, Mr. Lady Luck and 10 others
