In the Timely thread a recent discussion of character collectibles and premiums popped up and it occurred to me that this topic hasn't been discussed much before, at least not in depth to my recollection.  There probably should be some guidelines as this could be carried to extremes with so many promotional collectibles of varying vintage, so my suggestion would be a cut off date of '55 when the GA came to an abrupt end in comics with the exception of licensed reissues of the original designs.

Since GA comic premiums and character influenced toys extends to other areas of interest going al the way back to early Sunday newspaper comics, pulps, serials (the film kind) and cereals (the edible kind), including Crackerjack prizes and early board game tokens, inclusion of those areas should provide this thread a bit more range and longevity.  

To start it off, I'll repost my Captain America Sentinels of Liberty kit from '41...

Funny story. A few years ago, boardie @adamstrangecontacted me and asked if he could stop by after SDCC and since he came highly trustworthy, I said sure. I started to pull out some comics and he said “no, I want to see the “other stuff”. So we spent most of his visit looking at that stuff and not comics.

@Yellow Kidalso paid me a visit since he grew up here and was in town for a visit. Another cool guy with a lot of love for the medium.

@MrBedrockalso asked to visit but I turned him down because I thought he was a little “shifty”…:devil:

These were 'poster like' pictures you would cut out a coupon from the comics and mail away for. Back is blank. This one and one with Porky in a sailors uniform are the most coveted ithink. Don't have the Porky one, but I have others including one (or two?) I got from @Robot Man (worship)
