If someone says there is only one copy in circulation, what does that mean?

I'm honestly not sure... that's a new one on me. Does it mean 'one known copy, period'? Or 'one known copy for public sale at this time' since other copies are tucked away in NFS collections? Big difference.

The phrase does sound a bit hype-y but it's still possible the book in question is just that rare. Hard to know without more details.

Here's a pic for y'all. It's in pretty rough shape. Highest bid is $132.

"In circulation" usually means currently. Just my opinion, but this well circulated copy would've been better off removed from circulation a long time ago. hm

Someone bid $132 for that copy???? All I can say is, "Oy, vey!" (and I'm not even Jewish).

Well it is the 'only one in circulation' pedigree premium Jimbo....:gossip:
