I wouldn't brag about it for all the very good reasons mentioned here, not the least of which is that the deal isn't completed yet.  I also note that the books pictured all fall into the time when bags, boards and speculation were in abundance - they weren't hard to get, and in quantity too - but no SA pictured.  Might have a case where the seller wanted to unload crates of books he got for cover price and less, while that "amazing" SA portion may just become a bit more elusive to track down and "get the remaining boxes."  ("Gee, I thought they were in this storage unit.  Oh well... I'll check the other ones when I have some time").

No. With that said, these are very common books so it isn't like anyone should see that and say "oh my god, there are 65 copies of x-men 141?? the market is going to crash!!"  That is literally a book I used to see stacked 2 feet high at shows in the 80s. Yes, they wanted $5 even then for it, but Byrne/Austin X-Men were no secret by issue 141 and folks were speculating. Mainly, folks see you have 65 copies of a book and they're going to figure they can haggle you down more because you'll still have another 64 copies. And never blab until you have everything in your possession!!

Yeah, it must suck having stacks of easy $25-100+ sales

Some of us :preach:  already have stacks of long boxes of GA/SA/BA of stuff we have picked up over the years cheap to get rid of. Yeah, this stuff sells well but I don’t want it anymore and don’t want to store it anymore either. I’m all about dumping it for a few nice books.

blah blah blah. $25-100 a pop is still $25-100 a pop. I have 50,000 comics cluttering up my house, I wouldn't turn my nose up at those if cheap enough. I'd rather have those than a bunch of low grade Dell funny animal books or low grade corny picture cover westerns nobody wants. it is a commodity, if your are re-selling and it isn't for your personal collection if something is worth $50 who cares whether it is from 1980 or 1950? the stuff from 1980 is worth something because people still give a krap about it rather than some oddball old oddity book nobody has read for decades. don't get me wrong, I have tons of GA, SA, BA, I'm fond of it all, but picking on Byrne x-men and Teen Titans  2 is really the wrong target.

$100+ Is right. An example is the XMen 141 of which there are dozens. Graded 8.0s and above hit the CNote mark with 9.8s running near a $1000. Incidentally, I for one don’t believe Robot Man saying he wouldn’t buy said collection (of course the price needs to be right!)

I would maybe talk about it but not have as much details about the collection… just a sprinkle here of info. But get the deal completed and books in your possession first!

50,000 comic books…Are these ones you have failed to sell for $25-100?

Would I buy Byrne X-men or Teen Titans 2? Sure for the right price. But like Dell funny animal books or “corny” western books, I would unload them quickly in big lots wholesale to someone like you. Everything sells at the right price if you buy them at the right price.

50,000 comic books…Is it safe to say you are unmarried? :roflmao:

I've got around 30,000, I'd say. Been married over 35 years.

Where was this originally posted?

I'm assuming its in the US?

It is. I know who posted this (follow them on social media), and from what I understand they'll be selling these via another seller/dealer on social media (consignment i think?).

I think posting it was to drum up excitement/anticipation for the sale really. That's the way to go on social media really....
