Probably referencing the old glass company CGC hired to develop their new " Ultra Clear Cases" that they no longer take back when they look like this.. Popular Post Cat-Man_America
I heard about this thread in a round about way and am slack-jawed over CGC's new policy. Whether it's called mechanical errors, accessory malfunction or whatever my rule for purchasing encapsulated books is simple: if there are Newton Rings, NO SALE! I will not knowingly bid on any auction book that displays oily looking newton rings and would return any purchased books in a listing as falsely advertised that didn't clearly display or mention it in the listing. As a GA collector and occasional dealer, presentation of books is everything; Newton Rings ruin presentation. I can't imagine any dealer with a wall display being able to move books with NR to collectors at cons without offering significant price reductions. Note: I'm not just saying this out of frustration or disappointment, folks know I'm serious. I turn down NR books every time, ...it's a deal breaker. skypinkblu, Tec-Tac-Toe, I like pie and 3 others

I have experienced several books that have been damaged due to Shaken Comic Syndrome. crazyhips and Gonzimodo

Right after college I worked shortly at UPS. We were throwing your boxes worse than this. Edited May 21, 2023 by NewWorldOrder
