-- The books have not been pressed, cleaned or altered in any way since these raw scans were taken.

-- There are 3 books in this round; all are now in CGC Universal slabs. Send me a PM with your grades (make the title "Grading Contest: [your username]") and I'll record them. Send just one PM with all of your grades and add to it for future rounds; no changing of grades. You can copy/paste the below:

-- I will post the full grading notes with each book. (This can be misleading... sometimes the notes use harsher language than I might use to describe a flaw, and on the other hand there can be many flaws that the graders don't mention at all. So I tend to advise weighing what you see  more heavily than the notes, except when they describe flaws not visible.)

-- Scoring is as follows:
Bullseye = 5 points
1 grade off = 3 points
2 grades off = 1 point
3 or more grades off = -1 point
(so remember: with this contest, the higher score the better.)

-- Once more with feeling: do not use the census for this contest.

-- Grades are due Sunday, June 18th 10 pm EST.

The 'foreign substance' looks like a thin strip of white-out along whole inside spine, visible only when the book is opened all the way.

I count as many as 18-20 small cracks on the back spine; about half of them slightly break color, though tough to see in any of these pics. On the front spine, almost none are visible, just 1 or 2 that slightly break color.

Chintzy graders notes on this awesome book. Sounds like this was graded EOD Friday and the grader was in a rush to start the weekend.

As a reminder, Round 1 grades are due tonight at 10 PM EST, and I'm aiming to do the grade reveal shortly thereafter. We're in pretty good shape with 26 of 38 players in, but I'm going to tag the others early this time just to make sure everyone knows the contest has started. (I understand some folks are traveling this weekend, etc... anytime before the deadline is fine.)
