Were these worth something once upon a time or is that just some sort of Overstreet fabrication based on dealers having boxes of them they wanted to unload like Shadow 1 and Shazam 1 (before anyone cared about Shazam 1). I know if you grew up reading Mad in the 60s and 70s these probably feel pretty cool, but if you're under 50, I dunno, frankly, they're borderline cool for me and I'm over 50 and read Mad in the 70s.

I got quite a few of them from the Mile High dollar Specials sections, circa 1990.

I picked this up raw here from a boardie a few years back. As a Sienkiewicz fan, I couldn't pass up this foreign variant. Over time, it's become one of my favorites in my collection.

Interesting book. Panini did a lot of British Marvel reprint comics as well.

Yeah, I bought them out of dollar boxes for a long time. I sort of remember them having silly values in Overstreet, one of those BA books that I had to wonder how they came up with these prices.

Got this in a collection a few years back and I am keeping it. A low value Spidey comic that came with a cassette tape of The Ramones singing the theme song from the Spider-Man cartoon I grew up with. Worthless as a flip, priceless to me.

Boy if this one book of yours is drek, what would that make my 4 connecting covers each with its own cassette? I think they are pretty special.

During the early 90's Indy boom everyone wanted to publish a comic. One of our LCS, oddly a "competitor" but were still friends, started a company publishing a few titles. We even managed to get Boris Vallejo and JM Linsner to do a cover. I did lettering of some sort on all of these books.

I fell for the hype with this being announced on every major news program at the time, had to see what all the hype was about and if what they were saying was true.

I came here to see some dreck, but everything on page 3 at least is freaking awesome!

Agreed, if this is dreck, then I must have terrible taste!

This is one of only 2 runs of modern (post 1991) worthless drek in my collection. During the late 90s when the trusted titles from my childhood like X-men were terrible to read I randomly gave Crimson a go and it was awesome. This vampire book combined amazing Ramos (Spiderman) art and an interesting, ultra violent, action packed story. Maybe someone will make a TV show out of it one day and it won't be worthless anymore
