Recently acquired the cover to LOGAN'S RUN #2 (1977) by George Perez.

Incredibly detailed as with most Perez covers, and maybe even surpassing his own standards...check out Perez's amusing note for John Romita and Al Milgrom in the UPC box: "I followed the complex sketch practically verbatim but I have one little question. Where the hell can you fit the copy!!? One tired artist…" :Dlol!

For those unfamiliar with Logan's Run story/movie: think of a future Dystopian society where everyone is killed when they reach 30...and until then, it's party and pleasure! Mix equal parts DIVERGENT, HUNGER GAMES and BLADE RUNNER.

Proud to have found a cover from Marvel's sci-fi movie adaption. Thanks for looking.

I just updated my CAF Gallery with 2 new pieces, which can be seen by clicking on the link below.

http://cafurl.com?i=18976

The first piece is a 1989 11x17 illustration by Steve Rude of the The World's Finest heroes, Superman and Bat-man, both inspired by Golden Age versions of the Characters.

The second piece is from a book that I've wanted an example from but have only ever seen one before in a friends CAF gallery. A beautifully finished Kevin Nowlan page retelling of the first meeting between Superman and Robin, the Boy Wonder, based on layouts by Dave Taylor.

Also, since the beginning of the year, I have been slowing re-organizing my Galleries by themes rather than all by artist to try to avoid a lot of galleries with just one piece in it. So please feel free to stop on by and let me know what you think.

Best,

John Cogan

First, more Yale Stewart. If you don't read JL8, you are missing a treat [78K+ followers can't be wrong, right? :) ]. This example of his art and humor comes from Valentine's Day. Yale did a set of gift tag wallpapers and I liked them enough to buy the OA.

You can read the strip here

Second, I've become a fan of David Wright's Carol Day strip and bought this example - I consider it to have a prototype of the Punisher's costume. :)

Not a really major update but just adding these to make sure all of the art I have is documented but there aren't really major pages. Click on the link to view them on bigger size in CAF:
