It finally arrived! I’m speaking of my copy of the Locust Moon Press book - Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream. This book collects short stories (1 page to 4 pages) from a huge number of artists. I got mine as part of the Kickstarter that funded its creation and it came with a drawing by Farel Dalrymple. Farel came to Houston back in November of 2014 and he’d already completed the drawing, but the signature plate was still in circulation. It only took 14 more months to get here! :)

Anyway, I got a drawing of Flip - Nemo’s rival and friend along with a bunch of signatures. Check it out. As usual, click to embiggen.

Earliest surviving Green Arrow Art? (More Fun 74 - 2nd appearance Green Arrow), by George Papp.

Picked this up last year, pretty neat piece. The incredible frame is by artist Dan Makara,

,whom I purchased the artwork from.

Background story - He picked this up from estate sale from the artist's (George Papp) wife over 30 years ago. The purchase was covered in a CBG story back then.

The artwork was saved by George's wife because it had his proposal, on the back page, to her before he went to serve in WW2. Although I haven't cracked the frame to look yet.

Was this on eBay last year, went for around $15k? I certainly remember the frame.

Yes same piece, after doing some due diligence I won the auction on Ebay.

Thanks. Not calling you out, or not my intention (but I guess I did?), it's just that the backstory you were given and who the seller was...not what I heard through the grapevine. All good, what I heard is evidently hearsay (but I thought from source) and yours is from the source. That's why I was thinking maybe not the same piece (but the same artisan framer). It's really nice art (not a fan of the frame though) and the backstory is really cool. Congrats!

I just added a Dale Keown Red Hulk Pinup or Variant cover. If anyone knows where this was used, please let me know!

Dang, so close yet so far. I clicked on the published links first and said, yes, that's it! but of course I forgot what the OA looked like and realized it was the reverse image. I wonder if it unused then, which is really a shame since it looks so great.

Thanks for trying!

Since my CAF gallery has been shut down, I decided to create my own website. The name was a no brainer!

www.faceittiger.com

It is a work in progess, but feel free to give me any feedback on it.

Thanks,

Ankur

Have a few things that I've added over the last couple of days at both ends of the spectrum. Have an Alias page from Michael Gaydos from issue 27, part of the Purple storyline, a House of Mystery page by Romeo Tanghal/Wayne Howard with Abel that I just found to be fun page, a Don Heck/Frank McLaughlin title page from Justice League of America, and a Luis Dominguez cover from Weird Western Tales featuring Scalphunter from issue 68 and the Ride the Night Train to Nowhere story from 1980. So take a look, if you're into that type of thing, and maybe even leave a comment or two if you're inclined.

Have you not gone the route of asking Bill Cox to re-instate your gallery, Ankur?
