I should be able to get most of these(marvels) this year although the DC's are difficult to find in grade

 

Hulk #1 cgc 2.5 or higher

Amazing Fantasy #15 4.0

Amazing Spider-man #1 4.5 or better

Detective Comics #400 cgc 9.6

Green Lantern #76 9.0 or better

I'd say I have two lists of "Top Grails I Don't Own"--those I might own but don't yet and those I will never own ;)

 

Grails I Might Own But Don't Yet:

(In order)

1. Amazing Fantasy 15 (0.5 - 2.0)- The higher the grade, the further away...

2. TIE: Giant-Size X-Men 1 / X-Men 94 (1.5-2.5)- These two go hand-in-hand

3. X-Men 1 (1.5-2.0)

4. Incredible Hulk 181 (1.5-2.0)

5. Fantastic Four 1 (0.5-2.0)- The higher the grade, the further away...

 

 

The Keep Dreaming List:

(In order)

1. Copies of the Lord of the Rings signed by J.R.R. Tolkien (I know it's not a comic, but it is my #1 grail of all time)

2. Detective Comics 27

3. Batman 1

4. Action Comics 1

5. Superman 1

3 - Showcase 24 (owned it once, sold it, WHAT was I thinking...)

4 - Green Lantern 1

5 - Amazing Spider-Man 14

 

Strange Tales 110 annoys me because, barring Spider-Man (and I really have no interest in a AF 15) Doc is the one that shows up most in my collection without me owning his first appearance.

 

Ya, I know they are available all over the place, I just haven't been able to afford one that I would actually want to own yet :grin:

No idea on the Metro Sale.

 

Swapto purchased a CGC4.5 blue label.

 

I can only find a restored 7.0 (they refer to Swapto's CL purchase as a pricing benchmark) on e-bay.

 

It's a nice copy.
