Ewert Customer Contact Task for Litigation/Re-Certification Options… Volunteers?

My apologies to all for my tardiness in getting this task organized and underway to assist in the litigation vs. You-Wart.

 

Many of you may have received my recent mass-email that went out to my entire comic contact list. Additional apologies for not removing you all from said list before I sent it out. It would have taken hours to eliminate the "informed" from the "potentially uninformed".

 

Anyway, below is a listing of (340) Ewert customers from the "time period of concern". I'm guessing many (maybe 50% or more) are not even aware of the scandal and the opportunity they have to have their books "recertified for free by CGC" and also to join in the litigation.

 

As some of you recall, I was recruiting volunteers in the "9 Months of Ewert Data" thread months ago. I was contacted by these forumites offering to help with this task when I got it going. The volunteers (thus far) include:

 

Aweforone (Jim)

Shadrock (Bill)

Musicmeta (Michael)

Saco (Shin)

Burntboy (Harry)

Arex (?)

Nexus (Felix)

Blowout (Lee)

CaptainsofIndustry (AK)

 

Since there is 340 people to contact (excluding about 20-25 obvious "in the know" forumites on the list) I was hoping to get a total of (20) volunteers so we can get the task of contacting these potentially unaware "You Wart" customers via the Ebay contact system down to roughly (17) a person. Assuming the guys that volunteered (above) are still in, we need about (11) or more volunteers. I will supply the "lawyer approved" text to distribute. Its essentially the same info that I just emailed to many of you.

 

So... who has time to email about (17) ebayers and possibly supply a follow up response letting these individuals know that you (we) can provide them with their entire Ewert purchase data and the serials?

Hi Bruce,

 

I don't have firsthand knowledge of this scandal the way most of you do, but I'm as disgusted as the rest of you by Ewart's actions and their effect on our hobby. If all you need are volunteers to get the word out to his ebay buyers as you describe above, then I'm willing to step up and take a slot.

 

May I suggest that the initial correspondence being sent provide a link to a concise Forum thread where questions can be answered, or an FAQ of some sort, since you folks will be 20 times better-equipped than me to answer the inevitable follow-up questions that these buyers will have?

I'll remove your names from the list, but to be honest, I'd prefer not to have to update the list for anyone else that are aware at this point. The worst that can happen is they receive an Ebay email that can deleted in short order. I will make a note when an "entire assigned lot" has been finished, but I'm not going to keep track of those that did not respond.. All's we can do is try to let them know, if they choose not to act, I consider that the end of it.
